Who this site is for

Parents and guardians entering their children, and adult dancers entering themselves. Children shouldn’t use it on their own: a parent or guardian enters a child’s details.

What we collect

About you:

• your first and last name
• your email address, which is how you sign in
• your phone number, if you choose to give it

About each dancer you add:

• their first and last name
• their date of birth
• their school, or the school name you type if it isn’t on our list
• whether they compete in Girls or Boys competitions
• their grade in each dance, and their championship, if they have one

About each entry:

• the competitions you enter each dancer in at a feis, and what each asks for: a dance, a set dance or a speed
• whether a dancer of 18 or over is entered as an adult at that feis
• for a Special Needs competition only, your confirmation that the dancer qualifies. We don’t ask about this anywhere else, and it is kept with that one entry, never on the dancer.

Why we collect it

• Your email address signs you in. The site emails you your sign-in links, and a link to a feis’s schedule when it’s posted, and again if it changes, for a feis your family has entered. Nothing else, and never marketing.
• Your name tells Red King who you are. We only use your phone number if Red King needs to reach you about an entry.
• Your dancers are saved so you only enter them once. When a feis opens, their details decide which competitions they can enter: date of birth sets the age group, and their levels and Girls or Boys decide the rest. Their school goes with their entries, as at any feis.
• Entries tell Red King who dances in which competition, and what to print on the check-in sheets. A Special Needs confirmation is asked for only because that competition is for dancers who qualify.

Who can see it

• Red King Tabulation, which runs the feis and its entries.
• Aaron Perkel LLC, the developer who built and looks after the site, when that’s needed to help you or fix a problem.
• The companies that run the site for Red King: Vercel hosts it, Neon stores its data, and Resend sends its emails. They handle your information only to provide that service.

Other families can’t see your family’s information. We never sell it or use it for advertising.

Your sign-in link

The link in a sign-in email contains your email address. When you open it, our hosting provider’s request logs record the link, address included. Those logs are kept for a short time, then deleted automatically.

Cookies

The site uses a few cookies it needs to work: to keep you signed in and protect the sign-in form, to remember which address you asked for a link at, and, during the trial, whether you hid the trial notice. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

The site measures how it is used and how fast its pages load through Vercel, anonymously and without cookies. No personal information is part of it.

Keeping it safe

Your information travels over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted.

How long we keep it

We delete a family’s information 25 months after its last Red King feis. If you never enter a feis, we delete it 25 months after you sign up.

The site also keeps a history of changes to your family’s details, so mistakes can be traced and put right. It’s deleted on the same schedule.

Removing a dancer from Your dancers takes them off your list, but doesn’t delete their details. To have them deleted, email us.

Changing or deleting it

You can change your name, your phone number and your dancers’ details yourself, any time: sign in and use Family details or Your dancers.

To change your sign-in email, correct anything else, or have your family’s information deleted, email info@redkingtabulation.com from the address you sign in with.

Changes to this page

When this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
